Getting the most out of a Chamber means becoming involved in a way that makes sense to you and your business. The Twin Cities North Chamber is fortunate to have a dedicated group of business people who take an extra hour or two each month to better the business community through a Chamber committee or task force.
Ambassador Committee
This energetic group serves as the public relations arm of the Chamber, conducting ribbon cuttings and celebrations for area businesses, hosting networking events and welcoming new members. Meets: once a month plus activities. Commitment: four hours a month.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors serves as the governing body of Chamber, setting direction and policy. Meets: the last Friday of the month in the morning. Commitment: three hours a month.
Board Development Committee
This Committee develops candidates for Chamber leadership positions and serves as the Board nominating committee. Meets: as needed. Commitment: two hours per quarter.
Breakfast Networking
Breakfast Networking Club—a twice a month morning networking group—is organized by this Committee. Meets: meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month. Commitment: 3 hours month.
Business-Education Task Force
This group’s purpose is to strengthen ties between local business and education, primarily organizing a January career exploration event for 800 high school students called Career Jam. Meets: as needed. Commitment: twelve hours per year, mostly in late fall.
Evening Exchange Committee
Evening Exchange—a once a month evening networking activity—is organized by this Committee. Meets: the second Wednesday of each month. Commitment: 2 hours month.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is made up of the Chamber’s officers and is chartered with making necessary decisions between Board of Directors meetings. Meet: once a month. Commitment: two hours per month.
Fall Golf Outing Task Force
This Task Force organizes the fall fun 9-hole “Nine is Fine” golf outing. Meets: as needed between July and September. Commitment: 12 hours.
Gala Committee
This Committee organizes the Chamber’s Annual Gala, usually taking place in the early part of the calendar year. Meets: every other week between January and mid-February and as needed. Commitment: 10 hours a month between December and February.
north yp network Committee
This Committee serves as the governing board of the Chamber’s young professionals group—dedicated to the advancement of early stage career individuals. Meets: monthly. Commitment: two hours per month.
Spring Golf Task Force
The Spring Golf Task Force hosts the 18-hole “Chamber Challenge” in the spring. Meets: as needed between April and June. Commitment: 20 hours.
Public Policy Committee
This group studies local, regional and state legislative issues affecting the business community. Meets: the third Tuesday of every month. Commitment: two hours a month.
